Authenticom Receives State Recognition for Job Creation

La Crosse may not be the technology hub of the upper Midwest by most standards, but Authenticom has a reputation in the automotive industry that would make some argue the point. Authenticom is an automotive industry leader in providing data management solutions to a variety of service providers throughout North America. With the resurgence of the automotive industry, Authenticom is seeing unprecedented growth that has captured the attention of career seekers around the tri-state area and beyond. The growth of Authenticom is helping turn downtown La Crosse into a hotbed for high-tech jobs for recent college grads and also professionals who are making a career change.

In 2011, Governor Scott Walker’s Office and the State of Wisconsin issued a $230,000 tax credit to Authenticom and recognized the company for its sustainable job creation and commitment to economic development in La Crosse. During the past 8 months, Authenticom has added more than 40 positions, including .NET Developers, Database Developers, Client Support Technicians, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, and Marketing team members.

A recent addition to Authenticom is Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Kilgore, who relocated from Salt Lake City, Utah. “Intrinsically, Authenticom is a very unique company. There are very few employers in the country that offer the positive atmosphere, office culture, training programs, advancement opportunities, and generous salaries that Authenticom provides,” said Kilgore.

“This year we’re celebrating our 10-year anniversary. What started as a dream many years ago has burgeoned into a successful business with a high-trajectory growth rate,” said Steve Cottrell, Founder and President / CEO of Authenticom. “The vision is to continue leading the industry with services that are built, maintained, and marketed by quality people. We’re growing right now and we need to add more talent to our team to keep up with market demand.”

Travis Robinson, Chief Financial Officer at Authenticom, projects 2012 will be another promising year for the company. Authenticom is currently undergoing a 5,000 square-foot office expansion that will accommodate 50 additional Developer and Client Support staff members.
