Returned mail is costly, both in time and money.  Expand and retain your client base with Authenticom™'s CASS Standardization.  CASS Standardization services will ensure your mailings are sent to valid addresses by processing your address data with our USPS® CASS certified software.

What is CASS?
CASS stands for Coding Accuracy Support System™; a stringent certification process the USPS developed for evaluating address-matching software.  Authenticom™'s software is CASS certified by the USPS.  When your address data is processed through Authenticom™'s CASS software, a CASS Summary Report and a USPS Form 3553 can be generated to qualify mailings for certain postage discounts.

What does CASS do?
Our CASS certified software allows us to standardize and correct inaccurate addresses using the USPS national ZIP + 4® directory data.  These processes are performed during the CASS Standardization process:

  • DPV (Delivery Point Validation) – Incorporating DPV into the address matching process helps determine whether an address actually exists, drilling down to the physical delivery point, including the apartment or suite level.
  • LACSLink™ (Locatable Address Conversion System) – LACSLink updates renamed or converted addresses, including rural route addresses that have been converted to street addresses, existing street addresses that have been renamed, or post office boxes that have been renumbered.
  • eLOT™ (Enhanced Line of Travel) – Appends the LOT codes used to prepare carrier-route mailings.
  • EWS (Early Warning System) – Prevents new addresses – not yet entered into the USPS national ZIP + 4 directory – from being re-assigned to a similar address within the same ZIP Code.

What are the benefits?

  • Ensures the address data in your database is complete and accurate.
  • Identifies addresses that are truly valid.
  • Saves time and money by helping to prevent sending mail to known bad addresses.
  • Provides the necessary postal automation codes and the 3553 form to obtain postage discounts.
