January 18, 2012 – LA CROSSE, WI – Authenticom, a leading single-platform provider of automotive data solutions including dealer management system integration and data enhancement services, announced today that it has signed an agreement to be a licensed provider of Black Book vehicle pricing data.
The Black Book database of values for both new and used vehicles is now accessible through the Authenticom platform. The company has built a proprietary solution that will integrate the Black Book data into its daily- and batch-delivery systems. This new Authenticom service is available immediately for third-party service provider applications.
"Automotive sales in 2012 will be driven partly by higher trade-in values and an aging car fleet. Consequently, there will be more demand for vehicle valuation tools," commented Stephen Cottrell, president of Authenticom. "Now is an absolute opportune time for Authenticom to become a key reseller of Black Book data."
Tom Cross, president of Black Book, added, "Authenticom provides cutting-edge data services and has exceptional brand recognition in the Automotive Industry. We'll benefit tremendously from their far-reaching capabilities and reputation." Cross was referring to how Authenticom specializes in dealer management system integration and connects with over 10,000 automotive dealerships. Their data solutions support hundreds of automotive marketing agencies and third-party service providers throughout North America.
Cottrell continued, "We're excited to see what new possibilities this venture creates for existing and future thirdparty service providers who will receive immediate access to Black Book automotive wholesale, retail, and trade-in data through the Authenticom platform."
